Who We Are
Dr Sinead McDermott
Mb BCH BSO MRCPI MRCGP DFSRH DRCOG DCH
Dr Sinead McDermott graduated with Honors from UCD in 2008. She completed her medical
training in St Vincent’s University Hospital and completed her Medical Memberships of the
Royal College of Physicians of Ireland in 2009. She worked in Geriatric Medicine for one
year before joining the Sligo GP training scheme which she graduated from in 2016. She
worked as a GP partner in the Isle of Man before returning to Ireland in 2020. She has a
special interest in Women’s Health, Paediatrics and Dermatology. Dr Mc Dermott performs
joint injections, IUD insertions, Implanon insertions, Minor Surgery and Dermoscopy. She
lives in Sligo with her family and enjoys swimming, surfing and walks her dog.
Dr Joanna Perlinksa
MD MICGP DOWH
Dr Joanna Perlinska graduated with Honors from Poznan Medical Academy in Poland in
2000. She moved to Ireland and completed the Sligo GP Training Scheme in 2012. She has
particular interests in Women’s Health, Mental health and Dermatology. She has successfully
completed her Diploma in Obstetrics and Women’s Health from the Royal College of
Physicians of Ireland in 2009. Dr Perlinska performs joint injections, IUD insertions,
Implanon insertions, Minor Surgery She lives in Sligo with her family and pets and enjoys
strolls on the beach.
Dr Seán O'Flynn
MD MICGP
Dr Seán O’ Flynn graduated with Honors from Semmelweis University in 2012. Prior to this he had completed a BSc in Physiotherapy in UCD from which he graduated with Honors in 2006.
He undertook postgraduate work in Hospital Medicine in Finland and subsequently Galway. He worked in Internal Medicine for one year in Sligo University Hospital before joining the Sligo GP training scheme and completed his specialist training in General Practice in 2018.
He has particular interest in Men’s Health, Mental Health and sports injuries. He carries out joint injections.
He lives in Sligo with his family and enjoys surfing, swimming , GAA and outdoor excursions with his young family
